AFRIN- The heroic resistance of People’s and Women’s Protection Units (YPG, YPJ) and Afrin people led to clashes between the mercenary groups who participate the Turkish occupation army in their attacks on Afrin.
Local sources from Azaz north Syria, a stronghold of mercenaries used to attack Afrin, said a deep disagreement was looming between several groups of mercenaries unwilling to participate with the Turkish occupation army in the attack on Afrin.
The same sources, ANHA, reported that clashes took place between the divided groups late Monday night.
The same source revealed, according to the mercenary elements, that the reason for the deep disagreement between them came as a result of the great resistance shown by the (YPG, YPJ) in Afrin.
The sources confirmed that the division between mercenary groups began, after the transfer of the corpses of 15 mercenaries whom were killed on the fronts of Afrin, to Azaz city.
The same sources told ANHA that a number of mercenary groups say, “Why does Turkey put us at the forefront of the attack and use us as a spearhead? Why does not the Turkish army risk its soldiers? We do not want to die while Turkish officers drink tea in their offices.”
The sources speculated that the division between groups controlled by the Turkish occupation army, especially the mercenaries of Major General Sultan Murad and the other groups forced by the Turkish state to attack Afrin, could widen with increasing casualties among these groups.
