Major oil producers said Sunday that crude supply next year would outstrip demand, calling for new strategies based on production adjustments. Under the terms of the contract, whose value was not disclosed, Wanhua will purchase up to a million tonnes of LPG annually, Adnoc said. LPG, a refined product, is in high demand in Asia, mainly as a cooking fuel stored in cylinders for stoves as well as a propellant, refrigerant, vehicle fuel and as a feedstock for the petrochemicals industry. National oil companies such as Adnoc have begun negotiating and signing long-term contracts for products with buyers in East Asia as they look to secure market share and pivot business strategies to focus more downstream. Albania’s government picked a group led by India Power Corporation Ltd. to build the Adriatic country’s first solar power station worth 70 million euros ($79.34 million) with a capacity of 100 MW, the Energy Ministry said on Saturday. The offer by India Power, Mining Resources FZE based in the United Arab Emirates and the Hong Kong-based Midami Ltd. was the one out of three with the best combination of “technical and financial credibility, price and additional capacity”, it added. “This project will be an important step in diversifying energy resources in Albania and lead the way in turning Albania into a centre of solar power in the Balkans,” said the ministry. ABU DHABI  (Reuters)   Saudi Arabia is discussing a proposal to cut oil output by up to 1 million barrels per day by OPEC and its allies, two sources close to the discussions told Reuters on Sunday. The sources said the discussions were not finalized as much depended on the reduction in Iranian exports. “There is a general discussion about this. But the question is how much is needed to reduce by the market,” one of the sources said, speaking in Abu Dhabi where a market monitoring committee is due to be held on Sunday, attended by top exporters Saudi Arabia and Russia. Asked by reporters in Abu Dhabi if the market is in balance, Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih said: “We will find out. We have our meeting later.” Al-Falih last month said there could be a need for intervention to reduce oil stockpiles after increases in recent months.  REUTERS China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) is continuing to take oil from Iranian oilfields where it has ownership stakes, even after the United States re-imposed sanctions on the country’s oil sector, a company executive said on Friday. The state-owned oil giant entered Iran in 2004 when it acquired the MIS oilfield, in which it now holds a 75 percent stake. CNPC did not give an output figure for the field on its website. It has also spent billions of dollars on developing the North Azadegan oilfield, which began production in 2016 of about 80,000 barrels per day of crude along with natural gas, according to the company’s website. “Our main cooperation with Iran is upstream investment. Lifting equity oil is recouping our investment there,” Hou Qijun, deputy general manager for CNPC, said on the sidelines of an industry event. Νορβηγικό πολεμικό πλοίο, η φρεγάτα KNM HELGE INGSTAD, συγκρούσθηκε με το Ελληνικών συμφερόντων δεξαμενόπλοιο TS SOLAS πλησίον του τερματικού STURE. Τα αίτια της σύγκρουσης είναι υπό διερεύνηση. Το πετρελαιοφόρο μετέφερε περίπου 625.000 βαρέλια πετρελαίου και είναι κατασκευής 2017. Η διαρροή καυσίμων από την φρεγάτα αντιμετωπίσθηκε εγκαίρως.
