Chemical tanker Melati Satu fire by RPG by Houthi rebels in Bab al-Mandab Strait


The chemical product tanker Melati Satu was fired by rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) from Houthi rebels during passage in Bab al-Mandab Strait in second terrorist attack in the region for last two days. The vessel was en route from Ukraine to India, passing through the international trade route in Bab al-Mandab Strait, when a fast skiff reached Melati Satu from port board and fire a grenade.

The attack did not caused damages of the vessel anbd no injured of the people on board. Escept the RPG several gunshots were sent to the chemical tanker, but none of the crew was hurt. The crew of chemical product tanker Melati Satu sent distress signal for piracy attack, which was received by UAE ship and passed to Saudi Arabian naval ship Majesty Riyadh. The chemical tanker was accompanied through the strait and released to resume voyage to India.

The Major General Ahmed Assiri, a Saudi coalition spokesman, reported about the accident and underlined the importance of ensuring the safety for maritime traffic through the Bab al-Mandab Strait between the coast of Djibouti and Yemen. He also noted how important it is that the Houthi rebels and their allies take immediate steps to implement the United Nations Security Council resolution 2216, which will lead to the resolution of the Yemeni conflict.

The attack against the chemical tanker Melati Satu comes just a day after another ..........in the same area. Fortunately during the both accident there were no injuries and no sufficient damages of the vessels, carrying hazardous cargo.

The chemical product tanker Melati Satu (IMO: 9123659) has overall length of 177.00 m, moulded beam of 30.00 m and maximum draft of 7.00 m. The deadweight of the ship is 32,127 DWT and the gross tonnage is 22,254 GRT. The chemical product tanker Melati Satu was built in 1997 by Hyundai Heavy Industries in their shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea. The owner and operator of the tanker is Singaporean company Raffles Shipping Group.

Κελεύω δεν σημαίνει μόνο .....προστάζω-διατάζω

Η Κρίστυ Εμίλιο Ιωαννίδου, συγγραφεύς και ερευνήτρια ναυτικής ιστορίας, στο βιβλίο της , ΛΕΞΙΚΟ ΑΡΧΑΙΩΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΩΝ ΝΑΥΤΙΚΩΝ ΟΡΩΝ  και  στο σχετικό λήμμα για τον Κελευστή, αναφέρει επικαλούμενη ως πηγή, το έργο του Ξενοφώντα (ΞΕΝΟΦΩΝΤΟΣ ΟΙΚΟΝΟΜΙΚΟΣ 21,3) Οι μεν των κελευστών δύναται τοιαύτα λέγειν και ποιείν,ώστε ακονάν τας ψυχάς των ανθρώπων επί το εθελοντάς πονείν!!! Αφήνω την μετάφραση για τους αναγνώστες για  να ξεσκονίσουν επί τη ευκαιρί

Τεχνητος πνιγμος

Ο τεχνητος πνιγμος ειναι μια παλαιοτάτη τεχνικη ανακρισης-βασανισμου. Ο ανακρινομενος τοποθετειται με κλιση πανω σε μια στερεη επιφανεια , δενεται σφιχτα και εν συνεχεια τοποθετειται στο προσωπο του μια πετσετα . Η συνεχης ριψη νερου δημιουργει το φαινομενο που διακρινεται στην κατω δεξια μικρη φωτο . Αυτη η κατακλυση με νερο των κοιλοτητων του κεφαλιου που συνδεονται αμεσα με την διαδικασια της αναπνοης , προκαλει ασφυκτικο φαινομενο και οχι μονο (ταχυκαρδιες), τα οποια εχουν και ψυχολογικες προεκτασεις εφοσον το θυμα υποβληθει σε συνεχη διαδικασια τεχνητου πνιγμου. Μελετες εχουν δειξη οτι και μετα 10 χρονια απο την υποβολη στην διαδικασια του τεχνητου πνιγμου τα θυματα εμφανιζουν πλεον των ψυχολογικων επιπτωσεων  πονους στο κεφαλι και πνευμονικες -αναπνευστικες διαταραχες. Ο τεχνητος πνιγμος αποτελει κομματι της εκπαιδευσης των αμερικανικων ειδικων δυναμεων, ενω σαν τεχνικη βασανισμου και ανακρισης εχει χρησιμοποιηθει απο τους Γαλλους στην Αλγερια, τους Αγγλους στην β.Ιρλανδι
