Senior Israeli, Saudi, Egyptian, Jordanian and Palestinian intelligence officials recently met to secretly discuss advancing a peace process to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
According to a report in a new edition of Intelligence Online the summit meeting was held on June 17 in Aqaba under American auspices.
President Donald Trump’s top adviser Jared Kushner, and the president’s special envoy to the Middle East Jason Greenblatt organized the meeting, which was attended by Mossad Director Yossi Cohen and his counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan, as well as the commander of the Palestinian General Intelligence Service Majed Faraj, who is considered to be one of the top candidates to succeed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
As we reported on TV7 Israel News, a day after the meeting, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and King Abdullah of Jordan held an unscheduled meeting to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the challenges posed to both countries by the Iranian presence in Syri
