Commander Andria Slough
Commander Andria Slough was commissioned in 1998 from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering.
At sea, Commander Slough served as Combat Information Center Officer, and later Auxiliaries and Electrical Officerin USS O'Brien (DD 975);
commissioning Fire Control Officer in USS Bulkely (DDG 84);
Weapons Officer in USS The Sullivans (DDG 68);
Executive Officer and Commanding Officer in USS Defender (MCM 2) and as Executive Officer in USS Porter (DDG 78).
Ashore, Commander Slough served at the Aegis Training and Readiness Center in Dahlgren, VA, as a technical instructor for Prospective Commanding Officers and Executive Officers, participated in the initial
Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense capability development and headed the LCS/DD(X) Task Force;
forward-deployed to the U.S. Central Command Headquarters in Doha, Qatar, supporting the Friendly Forces Coalition Coordination Center as a Naval Operations Officer;
and as the Deputy Director for Joint Maritime Ballistic Missile Defense Operations and Training while assigned to the Missile Defense Agency's Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense Program Office.
Commander Slough's additional education includes a Master of Arts Degree in Public Policy and Administration, Concentration in Security and Intelligence Studies, from the University of Pittsburgh and qualification as a Joint Service Officer. Her personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, Pacific Fleet Shiphandler of the Year and the Vice Admiral John D. Bulkeley Leadership Award.
