When:
Wednesday, 8. June 2016 - 9:30 to Thursday,
9. June 2016 - 16:00
This SESAR SWIM Global Demonstration event aims to
showcase the global interoperability capabilities of system-wide information
management (SWIM) and in relation to the ICAO GANP/ASBU´s and the European ATM
Master Plan. Throughout the event, SWIM-founding principles and building blocks
of information sharing, service orientation, federation, open standards, and
information and service lifecycle management will be tested with partners from
across the globe.
The event will consist of a mixture of plenary
sessions, interoperability demonstrations and specific workshops with global
partners, including the United States, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Israel,
Mongolia and possibly more. This collaboration between global partners will be
based on the ICAO ATMRPP SWIM Concept Manual (Doc10039). Demonstrations will
consist of a hybrid combination of shadow mode operations for a nominal scenario
and simulations to demonstrate a non-nominal scenario. Information exchanges
will use weather information, network information, aeronautical information
including digital NOTAM, and flight information.
Lessons learned during the demonstrations will be
discussed during panel sessions, and will also be fed back into the ICAO
Information Management Panel to allow for further maturing of the SWIM concept.
Who should attend?
This event is targeted at technical specialists from
the ATM domain, specifically: ANSPS, manufacturers, airports, airlines, air
traffic controllers, pilots, staff associations. The event also aims to attract
policy makers involved in SWIM global standardisation from regulatory bodies,
such as ICAO, the European Commission and EASA.
Why should you attend?
This event will be a unique opportunity for you to
meet with a range of stakeholders concerned by SWIM. Ultimately, we want participants to:
Learn about the SWIM research that has been done to
date – particularly how this works in a global operational context and how it
relates to the ICAO GANP ASBU´s and the European ATM Master Plan.
Discover examples as to how future technologies and
operations may benefit from SWIM, from a business, operational and technical
perspective.
Share points of view, experiences, challenges and
lessons learnt with your peers from across the globe.
Understand regulatory and standardisation activities
underway to support the implementation of these SWIM services, as well as the
implementation of the required governance of the various SWIM standards shaping
these SWIM services.
Discover what will come next for these solutions in
terms of the research to be performed under SESAR 2020.
A draft agenda will be made available in the coming
weeks.
Important note: Registrations are now closed as we
have reached the maximum number of participants (135). However, as we might
face participants' withdrawal, if you wish to be on a reserve list , please
send your request for participation to swim@sesarju.eu.
